XF 2.3 Problems rebuilding search index on a large site

I upgraded from 6gb to 10gb for one month. I ran the CLI rebuild and it took about 5 minutes. I hope that is a good sign, not a bad sign! root@server forums]# /usr/local/php83/bin/php cmd.php xf-rebuild:search Rebuilding... Search index (Direct message 809) Rebuilding... Search index (Direct...

XF 2.3 Problems rebuilding search index on a large site

I had already cleared my swap in a previous attempt.

XF 2.3 Problems rebuilding search index on a large site

I deleted the post and still had the issue. My host says it is consuming 80 - 90% of server memory. The next step up in their hosting plans is 10GB RAM. Upgrade for one month, do the rebuild, then downgrade? PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND...

XF 2.3 Problems rebuilding search index on a large site

I've tried that with no luck. It seems to stop at the same post. Post 40495. Could it be a corrupted post causing the issue?

Yes, done via CLI. Need to upgrade the RAM just to do the rebuild. Then lower it again.

XF 2.3 Problems rebuilding search index on a large site

My hosts support team says there isn't enough RAM. I currently have 6GB. Since I only really need to build it once, I presume I can just upgrade my hosting to 8b RAM, rebuild the cache, and then downgrade again to 6gb RAM. Or at least I hope that would work. Crash evidence is in terminal it says...

XF 2.3 Problems rebuilding search index on a large site

I just completed a migration from an old Knownhost server to a new Knowhost server. The elasticsearch was setup on the new server. But, when I try to rebuild the search index via cli or the Xenforo backend, it ends up crashing. It could be a RAM issue perhaps. I've been using...

    Safely transferring xenforo site

To be clear, what I mean is that I had over a million different pages on my vbulletin site. If someone typed in the url for that forum page it would get redirected to the same forum page on xenforo. Not sure if I was clear on that or not. I need to somehow find out how it is done, else I could...

    Safely transferring xenforo site

I am with knownhost and will be downgrading my hosting with them to a cheaper package. Since my forum was initially in vbulletin, I had it migrated to xenforo, and the urls redirected. My concern is that when I downgrade my hosting, I do not know how those urls are redirected. Are they inside...

XF 2.3 Deleting old vbulletin db - safe?

Do all the attachments, user icons etc get moved across to a different folder too when you do the import?

XF 2.3 Deleting old vbulletin db - safe?

I had an old vbulletin 3.8 site. Everything was brought across to my xenforo setup, and urls redirected. There is still the old vbulletin db sitting in the myself section in cpanel. Is it safe to delete this or will I lose all those redirects? I don't know how it works so fear that maybe the...

    XF 2.3 Deleting a members 48,000 posts - how?

I think we will have to disagree on this one. All I am looking for is for how to do it, rather than if I should do it or not. I think Andy's plugin is what I will go with.

    XF 2.3 Deleting a members 48,000 posts - how?

She was a super moderator and has the highest post count on my forum. But over the last couple of years has become super toxic. I was getting numerous complaints from members. So, I said that all the members are moderated, but no one is moderating the moderators! And therefore I want a specific...
