XF 2.1 Quick user switching for testing?

That's actually a nice idea. A twist from how I was approaching it. Is this how everyone does it?

XF 2.1 Quick user switching for testing?

Hi, is there functionality somewhere in XF that allows me (board admin) to quickly switch between users to test different accounts for privileges and so forth? Or is the only way to log out and log in using a test user? Thanks in advance for any pointers.

XF 2.0 URL route matching syntax question

Thanks, Mike. So it's a convention then. That URL snippet does not actually match the actual string, it's convened in XF that url slugs go somestring.integer always and the things inside < and > store those in this particular order under those names in the parameter bag.

XF 2.0 Preserve links in bbCode using Thread\Creator?

LOL once again just after posting here I got the solution myself. My links were relative [ url = /relative ] and XF removed the invalid links. I made them into full https : / / hostincluded /relative link and it works now. Leaving this here in case others have the same issue. Thanks again.

XF 2.0 Preserve links in bbCode using Thread\Creator?

Hi guys, sorry for yet another question. I've followed @Chris D 's instructions from here: https://xenforo.com/community/threads/how-to-create-thread-from-php.158924/ And got this working now, threads are created perfectly using the XF:Thread\Creator service. I just have one problem. I'm...

XF 2.0 URL route matching syntax question

Hi everyone. So I'm studying this page: https://xenforo.com/xf2-docs/dev/routing-basics/ And I see that :int<user_id,username> matches against your-name.1 I'm familiar with regex'es and have worked with them in several idioms but I don't recognize what's going on here. user_id is before...

XF 2.0 How to create thread from PHP?

Looking forward to the REST version indeed, it's probably going to be one of the most popular features you guys have ever released (as can be noted on the replies on the have you seen section lately). For now you've solved my main problem which was reaching XF from outside its root. One last...

XF 2.0 How to create thread from PHP?

Will code written using the API used in the feed import function you suggested be deprecated in 2.1? What parts of the interface will remain?

XF 2.0 How to create thread from PHP?

Thanks very much for this awesome reply. This is exactly what I needed. I'm following the 2.1 announcements as well, but our upgrade cycle is not up to me so I don't really have any ideas when the project leaders will want to move to 2.1. For the time being I'll have a shot at this approach and...

XF 2.0 How to create thread from PHP?

This part of the system is not under the forum. It's totally outside the forum system. I thought of simply entering a row into xf_threads and xf_posts tables but I'm guessing there's a way to do it using the existing XF base?

XF 2.0 How to create thread from PHP?

Perhaps so, but I don't get to choose. Anyone got any tips on how to do this?

XF 2.0 How to create thread from PHP?

Hi, I'm trying to integrate a customer support request system into my forum. I'd like to create a discussion thread as soon as the customer hits submit on a form. How do I create a XF discussion thread from my PHP script? Is there a programming guide somewhere that has these cookbook...

    Implemented Easier updates?

Oh that's interesting. Is this done by hand? How do I know which file? I used the upgrade package only from the downloads. Sorry if it's a stupid question :) Man that's gona be great. This FTP routine is so 1990's.
