XF 2.3 vBulletin import VERY SLOW.

These did, indeed, go away once the import finalize job was done. Installed the vB redirect…looks like I need to tweak it a bit…but otherwise seems to function ok. Thanks for all the help bud far.

XF 2.3 vBulletin import VERY SLOW.

Has been running for over 24 hours. (No errors or other indications that there is an issue…other than the time frame.) Also, if I were to migrate the finished install to another server, is the best way to export the database to a file and import on the new server? (And just tar up the XF...

Any idea how long the finalize-import should take (at least comparative to the initial data import)?

Got it. For some reason, I parsed that as being for vB 1.1.9 (which, in hind sight, makes no sense). Just need to actually read what is in front of me. LOL

Thanks. I assume there is one for Xenforo 2.x for vB 4.x redirects? (still searching for it...and see this OP did exactly...so was hoping for a link) But, I can keep digging! :) Looks like this is the only one: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/vbulletin-4-x-url-redirection.120/

Where can one download the "XenForo Redirects for vBulletin" Add-on for vB 4.x?

(Running "php cmd.php xf:import-finalize" from the CLI)

The post import rebuild process has been running for a while. Board is closed, but whenever I navigate around the board (just looking), I see the following errors. (will these go away once the cache rebuilds are complete?)

Yeah. I'll have to see how the community performs once the migration is complete. (I can take a slow migration if the day-to-day usage is fine performance-wise.) I did make a few tweaks based on the "mysqltuner" perl script. Seems to have helped a bit.

I've seen reference to Centminmod. I'm running on the latest LTS version of Ubuntu Server, which does not seem to be supported. I am leveraging a LEMP stack (have been an nginx guy for quite a while). I guess I am fine with letting this import take however long it takes at this point (since...

Definitely open to best practices suggestions. (and, obviously, if there are things that can be done that don't require to start over again, that would be optimal... However, if needed, I can revert to a fresh install and re-start the import process.)

Still grinding away. Looks like the posts will be taking around 24 hours.

Well, I haven’t done any substantive tuning to MySQL. Any specific recommendations? (Based on my stated forum size, server stats, and knowing this is a single purpose install.) Still not quick, but significantly faster. (Several hours to get to step 16 / posts instead of days.)
