    XF 1.5 Miscellaneous improvements

Well done guys and happy to see a release before 2.0. I think 1.5 is going to turn out great and people will probably be using it for a looooong time after 2.0 is stable because they'll have so many add-ons or custom styles. :) Soon as 1.5 comes out I'm buying a new license and opening up my...

    Implemented XFMG video upload

If video/audio were included I would buy the media gallery for sure. Holding out and hopefully they'll be added soon. :)

    Free memory really low!

Take linux out of that sentence and replace it with any OS and it would still hold true. Like people have said in this thread already unless you're hitting swap/HDD you're fine. Just because RAM is "in-use" doesn't mean it isn't available. My Linux, *BSD, and Windows boxes all use nearly the...

Post Ratings - taking likes to the next level [Deleted]

Thank you for this, I have big plans for it. :) I see it showed up in my e-mail awhile ago, I'm just now getting around to playing with it. Nice work as always! :)

    TaigaChat - AJAX shoutbox

You can set this up inside usergroup permissions just like stock features like the ability to edit/delete posts. Scroll down past the stock options, it should be near the bottom of the list somewhere. :)

    Steam Community OpenID Login

Thanks for the reply, later this morning I'll apply that fix myself. BTW, what version of xenforo are you using, 1.1 beta or 1.0?

    Steam Community OpenID Login

I got this error to, I fixed it by uploading the .php file from the last release and everything seems to be working fine now. I didn't have time to debug the code in the new version so I just re-upped the old one.

a mobile site vs. an app

Also, if you go the app route, you'll be stuck making one for every platform (android, iphone, and maybe blackberry). Mobile site has its own draw backs, but at least it should work on all devices. I wouldn't make an application unless your site offers things like streaming video. For...

Integrating IRC Server with XenForo Users Database?

I've thought about doing this myself in the past. If you're going to go this route, I suggest having a second password to use the nick on the irc server. As I'm sure you know, one typo can expose your password to everyone in the channel if you're dumb enough to type it in the channel window...

Thank you, just what I was looking for! :)

    TaigaChat - AJAX shoutbox

I'll have my partner document it and upload it as a reply here as soon as I can. I was sick as a dog all day, and now I'm doing catch up work that I missed, so it might take me a couple of days to get around to it.

Oh man you got started a bit earlier than me then! I played with the early UBB versions, but UBB 5 was _the_ forum software by the time I got into this game. Oh those were the days, trolling through perl code to find bits of html just to change the layout and having to "rebuild" all the old...

Oh trust me I remember the ikonboard days my friend, you're talking to a man that cut his teeth on UBB 5.x! ;) The admincp feels a bit like cpanel yes...if you use the "icons". There are also links in the left side bar, which reminds me of vBulletin, and all the options can be found there as...

Welcome Brandon! I was in the same position as you about two weeks ago, we also went with xenforo because of the ex-vB devs and the fact that its just so awesome. I'm not trying to sound like a sales pitch here either. I've been very impressed with everything. The admincp, the front-end, the...

    Learning programming

I suggest setting up a local test server (you can use something like http://www.wampserver.com/en/) if you're interested in developing websites or full blown "web apps" like xenforo. Just get in there and start hacking away at the files, reading them, learning how they work, trying out slight...
