things worked fine before the site was upgraded to the most recent version...i have never run any smtp server on any server...no mail processes are running or are allowed to run..no sendmail, postfix,, exim...nothing.....i do not provide any kind of mail services...all of my other clients are...
here's another ubuntu lts server that with the same command does the same thing..but all of the 40 wordpress sites on there work fine. so something is up with how xenforo is using hte plugin or whatever.l;i will post a debian server after this:

mailgun on several other accounts inside of wordpress works fine. this is an ubuntu lts server and if mailgun only checks by raw version number..that's not my issue...which happens with lts versions. honestly, it's only one account having an issue with a xenforo plugin..all of the rest of the...
if ca certificates was broken the other 65 sites would quit working as all of the sites use CA-certs to get their certs through let's encrpyt. it's only the xenforo site having issues..all of the other sites(which are wordpress) work just fine using smtp2go, mailgun, among others.
so the server in question i do not run an smtp server at all and do not provide email services. The xenforo instance is the only non wordpress account and most of them use smtptogo without issue in wordpress. so i am curious what xenforo or this mail plugin is doing that is so different?
choose your host carefully. i do offer shared hosting...but unlike the mega sized hosters I would want to know about the size of the site you are looking to bring. I do not run artifical limits on my accounts(godaddy) but i also do not want to crush the server so my other clients are impacted...
I went ahead on that assumption that you had developed the database for innodb. Luckily I was able to force repair the tables and do a manual mysql upgrade to recover the system...Thanks..:)
I have a client with a badly messed up server. Does Xenforo care if the table engine is innodb or myisam? right now they are running innodb but i want to change them to myisam and wanted to make sure it would not cause problems with xenforo.
it takes 1-2 seconds to load here on a 50/10 connection. my system is a core i-3 3.0 8 gigs of ram and win7 x64. once the site starts loading it's instant but it takes a sec or so to get going.
That was a whole lot of nothing. XF had better post something meaningful quickly or they won't have to worry about legal consequences as there will be not enough users to suport continued development. personal issues? We've been told that for quite some time now. How about some real information?
