Hi, do I do the board URL before or after the root change? And do I change everything, Board, email and home page?

I bought a license just over a week ago to move my vbulletin forum to. I did it and the staff and members didn't like it. I put bat up my back up of the vbulletin forum but am out the $140. My host said there is a way to resell it. Is this possible? And if so, where and how do I do it? Thanks
