I can confirm that I have seen the push errors increase significantly since the 2.2.15 upgrade. They used to be very rare before that (running XF since March 2019).
Just wanted to report that my forum jut hit 94,000 attempts since I implemented the Spaminator several years ago.
If anyone is considering this add-on, I can whole-heartedly tell you that it is amazing and works fully as advertised. Strongly recommended.

I haven't had any issues since I simply removed the URL for the Google sitemap submission. Bing sitemap is still being submitted.
Same. Errors started around the time that I upgraded to 2.2.13.
I did the same thing.
Not sure what changed, but it must have been on Google's end. Why would a submission three times a week results in "too many requests" -- seems odd.
