    Xenforo Hosting

We made a decision to move our rather large (62 Million posts) forums at www.disboards.com from dedicated servers to Xenforo hosting. The work was completed at 7am this morning. Moving a forum that size is never simple but the procedures they have in place worked perfectly. We were only...

Just had Slavik do some more work for us, including the upgrade of a 59 million post board and it went perfectly, faster than expected and under budget. Highly recommend

I think that's great! The more big boards and the better xenforo does the better for all of us! Bring it on

Specialist Services - vBulletin, Big Boards, Custom Imports, Community +Server Management

We now have the second largest Xenforo board. It was really a long hard road to come to the decision to migrate and there was a lot of concern by the ownership and staff. Our boards have been in existence for over 15 years in various forms and we have been through numerous migrations. The...

I agree with you 100% and have been tuning all of the parameters since we started! I never said I didn't or wouldn't etc. Tuning is more important than just throwing gobs of RAM at a problem BUT tuning with gobs of RAM is even better :) The current servers are Dell and only come in Dell Grey...

I realize that, problem is when you are initially migrating over you don't know how much you need. Since the RAM exists in the hypervisors anyway why not assign it? After a bit, if it's more than I need I'll assign it somewhere else. The import process went a LOT faster after we increased the...

2400 users online, Slavik is reindexing search and the Database server load is reading .81, .79, .68 Maybe I should be concerned about the climbing load? :)

Thanks for the welcome Jim! All of those are Virtual Machines running on 2 Hypervisors that also run our other web sites so I can bring CPU and RAM up and down at will. I pointed a lot of horsepower at the boards for the conversion, I wanted as little downtime as possible and we ended up being...

I would not have considered doing this without that tool. Days of downtime was also not a possibility for us! Awesome job!
