Thanks for all the replies everyone. Their shared professional plan has a 300000 inode limit as far as I understand so that could be a problem. Not sure about the limit on the most expensive shared plan though.

Another suggestion for doing a faster upgrade if slow FTP is the issue. Wouldn't something like this work? Make a copy of the current forum directory FTP the upgrade files to this new directory Switch the folders Run the upgrade

OK, as long as there is just an error and no permanent damage of any kind I guess it's fine.

I know I can set this to unlimited, but I am wondering if there actually will be a limit in the system anyway. Limited by the database, blob or something and if so how would the XenForo software behave if someone tried to make such a post?
