XF 2.2 Error when upgrading to 2.2.8: Class 'DOMDocument' not found

Problem solved. Had to finish the installation through the web browser, by going to the forum url /install, after completing the first part through command line. It finished rebuilding the master data in 5 minutes or so and the forum automatically reopened.

After uploading the files and running php cmd.php xf:upgrade on command line, I get this error. My server passed the requirements test though. Need an urgent solution as the forum is currently down... thanks! XenForo® 2 system requirements test Requirements met Your server meets all of...

XF 2.1 Push notification failure - 403 Forbidden

This error started appearing suddenly on my error log (about 5-10 messages of this error per hour). I've tried turning notifications off and on on admin CP, but it didn't help. Any ideas? Thanks! Ads Manager by Siropu [Paid]

Hi @Siropu , how do I place an ad between the forum nodes list on the homepage? (would like to place it between the two main categories of nodes). I see this position, but don't understand the "x": "Node list below node x title". Thank you!

XF 2.1 Server error log referencing old files? showthread.php, external.php

Thanks for the reply. Was investigating but couldn't find any redirect on the server side or from XF itself. Actually, the showthread.php file doesn't seem related to vB but a script written by someone who speaks Portuguese (our site is in Brazil), judging by the choice of names for the...

XF 2.1 Server error log referencing old files? showthread.php, external.php

vBulletin? In this case the junk is older than I thought. We upgraded from vBulletin to XF in 2012, lol. Well, if it's vBulletin it confirms my theory, but I still have no idea about where these request could be coming from. Seems to be requests from a machine judging by the frequency they...

XF 2.1 Server error log referencing old files? showthread.php, external.php

Hi, my server admin noticed some weird errors appearing in the server error log. I'm ignorant about this, but it seems like something is requesting a file and function from an old version of XF. We're using XF 2.1.0 but some old files where left in the directory after upgrading last year. These...

"Google May 2020 Core Update" affecting your xF Forum?

Yes, it's mainly a gaming forum but, as many others, the "offtopic" sections are also popular (politics, movies, etc) and used to attract traffic from Google. The quality of discussions and the user base is miles ahead of FB, Reddit and other forums and I'm proud of that. Problem is Google won't...

"Google May 2020 Core Update" affecting your xF Forum?

That's not our case. We have over 4,000 new posts and dozens of new topics every day. Content is always up to date. It's a very active and loved forum, so if Google would actually return result based on relevance, our forum would be dominating the rankings in too many topics. Of course we have...

"Google May 2020 Core Update" affecting your xF Forum?

Our forum, with 20+ years of content, 17M+ posts, strictly moderated, loved by so many users, lost about 45% of traffic overnight after the May 4th update. Google already punished forums in rankings before this update, so this was on top of an already unfavorable situation. Decades of...

Not a bug Error after applying Paypal fix

I applied the latest fix but didn't update my installation (big board, too troublesome) and now I see two errors happening. One is the alert that the file has unexpected content, which I think I can just ignore. But after someone made a donation to my forum using PayPal, the following error was...

    XF 2.1 2.1.9 patch - unexpected contents

I see. My forum is quite large so I avoid updating regularly, unless it's a critical issue. In this case, does anyone know if I can just keep the new file and ignore this warning? I plan to update in the future, but would be better if I could wait for a version with more features.
