Yeah actually, I realized this is not a bug, there is is an additional option on top right, that says "Change Type" next to the delete button, It's kind of hidden from the view when you are viewing the forum type options once you scroll down, I had missed the button.

Apparently after creating a new forum of type article, and starting a thread... then going back and change the forum style from article to standard forum some things remained as the article forum, the posts were still looking like an article, and creating new post also look like an article...
