Any way you would create an add-on. I kind of like to keep my forum to myself and whatnot, I can guide in any way possible in real time :)

Oh i tried, i just couldn't seem to find the DEFAULT template for the collapse-trigger, which would always set the before icon (and sometimes create two, it was weird). There's one i found for categories, and even when i tried to mimic it with different values, no success :(

Oh just "\f053" when it's closed (on default) and "\f077" when open. Believe me though. I've been through templates, style properties, new css records and I cannot get it to how I want

Thanks for the advice :) I did follow a guide similar to this and manage to make it collapsible, although was unable to manage to change the icon to match the category ones (I tried everything) If you're interested in doing it specifically how I wanted it for a cost, let me know

I believe you could modify some of this in the default theme to make it work for you. There is also other discussions people have started to make each individual node a different icon too.
