Thanks - once I was able to get to admin.php and see the error logs, it gave me a path to chase. The session table(s) were crashed. Repair/optimize across whole database got it back up and running. Upgrade was likely unrelated.

The add-on is still working for me with XF 1.3.1 and mod version 1.0.7. But - has anyone extended this mod to work with Extra Portal? (the newest version of Simple Portal).

I'm now clearing the cache on each change, with no effect yet. I did realize that I was swapping the original/customized in my post above. The red is the original and the green is the customized, I thought it was different. Will change that in the post now so it views as correct.
