Video uploads / size

I am considering to use Xenforo for a (mostly members-only) forum where users can exchange knowledge, share pdfs etc. An important feature will also be the ability to confidentially share recorded MS Teams meetings, usually around 500MB (I think). I have made a demo Xenforo Instance, see that there is an option to embed YouTube etc. but I cannot test uploading videos and see how mp4's will be shown, and see the 'upload experience'. Is there a way to seee this? And where can I find/set the limits for file uploads? Thanks for your help.

I do not run a video type forum so I have few videos but I have other large attachments. I have my PHP limit set to 3500M and the XF limit set lower.

Large uploads require changes to the server PHP and MySQL settings which isn't possible on the demo.

It is possible to upload files that large - I know of several XF users who do so.

Thanks. So for the demo site I should test with a very small .mp4 file, I guess.

Yes, just use smaller files.

I created a small .mp4 file but I notice uploading .mp4s is blocked in general. I read something here https://xenforo.com/community/threads/allowed-file-types-not-working.188146/ about allowed file types, but have not found where that option is located.

.mp4 files are XF natively (no mods needed) supported.

Hi

I'm trialling a demo site but having trouble uploading a .3gp video. Could you please tell me if it's me or is a .3gp video file not supported? Also, are Iphone videos supported?

You will like XF, the stray cat says hello and thanks for joining to watch the video. Sorry I forgot set the permissions so guests could see videos in that node.
