Seeking a better option (that vB5).

I have worked on vB3 and vB4 for a number of years. They are excellent forum platforms. I have a new gig working on a vB5 forum. This one, not so good.

I am under this impression that the good programmers/coders from the vB3/4 days are responsible for xenForo. I was wondering if that is true?

No matter, I seems xenForo is the recommended forum software over vB.

But, I need to be able to easily convert the vB5 database. If this is possible, I will consider trying your free demo and importing the database that need converting. I will also need to see if I can easily emulate the style. If all goes well, I will try to convince the boss to consider switching to xenForo.

xenforo has a type of subscription indeed .... I do not know if stripe is suported

There is a vB5 to XF2 importer in the core. It is new so a bit of testing should be done before upgrading the live site.

There is no php hooks like you are used to in vB, but coding for XF is easier than vB5.
