I tried that a long time ago, And I remember it was doing something I didn't like. I would like to try it again but the trial expired.
I don't think I have it on my Macbook air so I might try it again on that one.

Upload it as ZIP, then extract. It's faster.

I use FileZilla. Can someone explain me this "adware" talk? I am not aware of something like that.

I tried downloading it tonight and got a message from Norton that it contained suspicious.cloud.9 and Norton quarantined the FileZilla download.

Upgrades/installs take less than 5 minutes uploading the .zip and extracting on the server.

Yes, you can extract it via SSH using unzip xen<tab key>.

Pressing the tab key auto completes the file name, saving typing it out.

I've used Filezilla for 6 or 7 years on Linux without any issues ever.
I've never downloaded it from sourceforge though.

Some shared hosting/cpanel based has ssh access.
Like when I'm still with http://www.vps.net/products/cloud-sites.
I can upgrade my XenForo board on cli mode.

I've been using that for over 8 years now, and won't use anything else.

Basically my experience with FlashFXP as well. Pretty sure I started using it around 2006 when setting up gameservers. Zero problems.

I use filezilla but I install with Ninite Pro (https://ninite.com/) which does a silent install and does not come with the adware from the sourceforge downloader.

Yeah because that adware thing is just came from sourceforge, they injected a lot of known windows applications with adware.
I installed via Ubuntu Software Center .

I have always used FileZilla until here recently. I tried 2 clean XF installs with it and got errors both times. Then I went with winSCP and had 0 issues.
