Generally, upstream providers listen to legitimate businesses, especially, if they are customers; although, I've haven't specified it as mail abuse, it's been marked as sending spam.

That is most likely a dedicated spam server IP.

PS: Sorry, that is not an Xrumer bot running on dedicated hosting, it is an open proxy too !!

You can always use an established .htaccess malicious IP block list if you are running blind.

This is very annoying just had 4 spam users join again today, they have been PMing almost all the members porn. I got about 30 Reported PMs... very annoying. Im using the stopforumspam mod but its not helping.

If it is that bad, do not let people join unless you approve them first.

Preventing PMs with external URLs for Posters with less than 10 posts might help.
Of course, I dont think that is possible.

In user groups in vB you can stop new members from sending PM's with permissions.

There is no porn spam on any of my forums because ALL NEW MEMBER POSTS ARE SUBJECT TO MODERATION, until they are moved into a 'Super Usergroup'.

Can't this be done with Xenforo currently? This goes out to anyone as this was one of the prevention methods I used to combat spam. I haven't really played around with the permission system yet.

User group permissions are the first and best way to combat spam, by humans or bots.

By using them, administrators control the content, PM ability and so on, without moderator help.

I don't think there is a promotion system which would be required to do something like this.
