The importer takes care of the steps, it is relatively easy, no one can provide steps to a unlicensed user. Once you Are licensed and if you run i to problems, you will get support.

NO, NO and NO!

I can't undestand why this kind of reply, that people like me and like MGF can read convincing themselves about the possibility to do what requested, whenm instead, you SHOULD CLARLY specify that at the moment it is possible to import ONLY to XF1 and not XF2.

As a new user i think that it is an essential info to be given to a newbie of your plataform, or isn't?
Today I've bought your license, convinced to be able to do this importation, and now I can't do anything but trying to cancel the transaction...

Ok , thanks, this is a good news, but I continue not to understand why this isn't clearly indicated among the characteristics of the platform, like should be IMHO. I think that we go and read the manual when we have already downloaded the software, not before, and we are going to install it.
Think that I have found many discussions where the problem was if it is possible to import from MYBB 1.6 or 1.8. For me that wasn't a problem... so I have thought "Perfect!". Then I've found this page https://xenforo.com/help/importing/ and so I've had some doubts...
In any case thanks for the help. I only ask you for being more explicit on this very important concept in your future answers, even because a person like me could consider too time-expensive to venture among uploads, conversions, importing etc... This time I'm forced to do so, but it would have been better for me being able to know it before. Only this.

I can see your point. It might be useful to explicitly warn new licence holders that if they want to do an import (which I imagine is quite a high percentage) then for some pltaforms they must first install xf1. I'm sure after reading on forum posts that xenforo (without saying which version) can import mybb, then I may well go ahead and install xf2 before reading the manual section on importing.

Exactly!! If then you add to this the fact that these days we are running to come to the 25th (the fateful date which the damned GDPR becomes effective in) with all our platforms in rule, then you can understand that I'm disposed to buy a forum platform, even if there are others free, but not to waste precious time, doing tests... simply because I've read some features and I've supposed them valid and guaranteed, with a certain security. That's all!
