Feel free to post/like if you feel it should be built into the actual forum software.
It would be nice to be able to specify that the avatar box next to a post is only displayed if a user has uploaded or picked out an actual avatar.
The placeholder images become an eyesore if you have users that will never bother putting an avatar into their profile. The username should be the identifiable feature of a poster and not get thrown in with a commonly repeating graphic under their username.
