Barefooting

I see no barefooted Kier in that pic. Is this like a "Where's Waldo?" thing?
Haha, no that's just a random picture of Nemesis I found via wikimedia. It can be quite difficult for barefoot Kier to take pictures of barefoot Kier on a rollercoaster while barefoot Kier is firmly attached to said rollercoaster. ;)

I haven't been for ages, so I haven't been on Air - when I was last there, Oblivion was new - now there is a properly terrifying ride :D

Ha Ha, No doubt... Only theme park I have been to in years in Oakwood and the best they have ATM is Speed though that is quite nasty

No feet dangling just a very steep drop and a VERY fast track...

Oh and there is Hydro

Doesn't that make Oakwood look sunny :S

Theme parks are great places to go barefoot, especially on roller coasters where your feet hang down in mid-air, like Nemesis at Alton Towers. Doing so adds an extra facet of perceived vulnerability to the ride, and makes the experience that much more intense.

As long as they have a place for you to put your sandals, sure. The floorless or flying ones I have to rent a locker temporarily or put them somewhere that the operators don't see (under my shirt usually) since I can't put them off to the side depending on how the loading stations are set up.

Should this topic be split in two so we can talk about rides? Seems to have spawned some responses out of this. :p

No danger of burned feet today as I splashed through the rain in the car park at Sainsbury's. Inside, I got a few funny looks from people who may have followed the trail of wet footprints with toes (hehehe) but I wasn't the one squelching around in sodden shoes :)

Just saw this thread. Made me remember my older siblings doing this when I was a kid in the 60's. They were teenagers, I was in the single digits.

Back then they called it "Hobbiting" or "going Frodo". Drove my parents mad as I recall. There were a few instances of burned feet (we were/are in Texas) but nothing major.

Not as nice a day here as it was yesterday, but we are going to the beach to walk a few km's on sand.. barefoot of course!!! :D

Now that sounds lovely. The forecast here is for a relatively sunny 19 celcius, so I may get a walk in, but I doubt it'll be quite as idyllic as your seaside stroll.

should be lovely... at the beach we are walking.... The surf is really wild here, and loud, really clears your head!

Yes that might be difficult.

Gods... just got back and my legs are jelly LOL, the beach was very steep today on the way down, must have been a savage tide... bit more levelled off when we walked back thankfully!

Was a gorgeous day, we walked to Terrigal and had fish and chips, then walked back, along the beach, it's very hard work!

We walked all the way from the far point on the beach around and then back again ...

Nice to get out of the office for a bit :D

Hey, that's trademarked ;)

Hehe, no, it's great to see the logo down under. Sounds like you had a lovely walk - great pics.

LOL no trademarks were injured in the making of this beach art! :p

We were going to write more, but it was too wild, the sea kept rushing in to wash it away lol. - and you can't tell from the pic, but the beach was really angled, quite steep where it was wet, was hard to stand in and write and not get washed away !
