Archive / export inbox messages [xf2] ?

hi

before deleting msgs from inbox, is there a way to keep and export/archive some of them ( .pdf) ?

There's no such feature in the core, but I suppose you know that since this is in the add-on requests forum.

I'm not aware of any XF1 or XF2 add-on to do this, either.

You are able to export them with an SQL query and backup the data of the messages deleted, but this won't get it in pdf format (not sure why you'd want it as pdfs, it would make it very difficult to index and search the results).

It would be useful IMO as a text file, although PDF would be fine. Surely text is searchable in a PDF.

This is something that (I think) is part of the core in vbulletin and many users would find it a useful way to archive their conversations prior to cleaning out the inbox.

There was an add don for xf1 which has been deleted. I'd really like to see this for xf2.
