[8wayRun.Com] XenPorta (Portal)

I think this has been asked before but I've not seen a solution.

In IE7, the recentslider thread titles down the left hand side won't wrap over multiple lines so the start of the title is cut off. These display fine in Firefox, Chrome, etc. Is there any CSS trickery possible to make IE behave?

I know people will say "upgrade" but that's simply not an option for most office workers who make up a large part of our demographic.

Anybody have any thoughts on why this custom block will not work for me?

Hi. I'm trying to uninstall xenporta but it will not uninstall. I tried upgrading it to the latest version, that didn't work. I tried deleting xenporta files from the server then emptying and dropping its tables and it still showing as an installed add-on. How do I get rid of it so that I can re-install the latest? How do I completely uninstall an add-on in general in case I run into an uninstall problem like this again?

What happened when you tried to uninstall it? Was there an error message?

Sometimes it can take a while to rebuild the various caches (which is done during an uninstall) which can cause a timeout. That can sometimes be fixed by removing excess languages and styles.

Manually uninstalling an addon is not a simple task. It should be done through the Admin CP. If there are errors then we need to work through them.

It gave me an error message when I tried to install it. I re-uploaded the Install.php from the original package and it still didn't uninstall and gave me the same error code.
I have Jaxel's XenPorta add-on that I never use and was going to uninstall it but it won't let me.

I keep getting this error:

Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context in /home/me/public_html/forum/library/EWRporta/Install.php on line 161

So I re-uploaded the same version and upgraded the add-on (same version) and tried to uninstall again. Same error.

How do I uninstall this? Do I have to drop the tables then just delete all xenporta files?

I'd probably install 1.44 again, and then uninstall, then delete the files mentioned in the 1st post of the portal thread, as well as dropping the tables. Then attempt to load the new portal
Sounds great but I just bought Xenforo 3 months ago. I've never had 1.44. I was on 1.5.0.

I dropped the tables and deleted the xenporta files that 1.5.0 asked me to upload the first time around but Xenporta is still showing as an installed add-on.

How would I truly uninstall it from this point?

oh my bad. You may want to post in the thread and see if someone can upload 1.5 for you to reinstall. If I had it, I'd upload it for you, but I don't.

I have 1.5

I have 1.5. I re-uploaded it and tried to uninstall it, still didn't work. Same error.

What is the error?
This is the error:

Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context in /home/me/public_html/forum/library/EWRporta/Install.php on line 161

So I re-uploaded the same version and upgraded the add-on (same version) and tried to uninstall again. Same error.

Now this is the current error:
Error
The files necessary for uninstallation of this add-on could not be found. Please replace them.
If I had re-uploaded the 1.5.0 files the error would be there are no tables to initiate the uninstall etc.

XenPorta is up to version 1.5.1. Try uploading the latest files and then do the uninstall. If that doesn't fix it then I will try to reproduce the problem on my own forum and see what can be done.
