    Posts/messages, nodes/forums etc

To my knowledge, regular users don't see the word 'node' anywhere on the frontend. It's used within the ACP in XenForo because of how flexible the node system is -- because a node can be a category, a forum, a page, etc. Messages and posts are rather interchangeable, imo, and nothing that will...

    Add-on A Sneak Preview...

It's a tournament management site, Jaxel is using their API: http://challonge.com/ This is real neat... could be very useful for trivia tournaments we hold sometimes. (y)

Lack of interest Prevent Posts with Malformed BB Code from Being Posted

This is probably specific to our server and not really something I would attribute to XenForo. There's a ton of bbcode in Amaury's post on my site, much of it unofficial. XenForo usually tries to close unclosed tags anyway.

    [TH] Social Groups [Deleted]

No, I've temporarily disabled the add-on. I'm still on 1.3 so I'm hoping the issue is related to that... when I update to 1.4.6 I'll see if the issue persists.

    Node Style Override

I don't personally, but I can see why others would. Take gaming forums, for example: let's say there are four nodes, one for PlayStation/Sony, one for Microsoft/XBOX, one for Nintendo, and another for PC gamers. Having a unique style for each node can help create a visual distinction between...

    [TH] Social Groups [Deleted]

I've just updated from 1.1.6 to the latest version. When trying to save changes to my Personal Details, with this add-on installed, the following error is popping up: I believe a similar issue was reported earlier and I tried the solution here of rebuilding the Social Forum caches, to no avail...

    DISCONTINUED: [8WR] XenUtiles (Tools)

It looks like the cron job is still trying to run on tables that no longer exist (since the add-on was uninstalled). Head over to Admin CP > Tools > Cron Entries and disable/remove the ones that say XenUtiles.

    SOS BB Codes

Yeah, if you want to try reinstalling that's the first thing I'd do. If you're comfortable messaging me with an admin login for your site I'll happily take a look as well.

    SOS BB Codes

I've just tested it in Chrome on XF 1.4.5 and it works fine for me. You've probably configured something incorrectly that is interfering with the add-on... and it looks like your screenshots are two different styles, which could be the source of the issue as well.

    SOS BB Codes

I haven't personally tested it but there's no reason it wouldn't.

    Windows 10

Thanks @Summit ! Digging the Mass Effect background. ;) How are you liking Cortana, if you've used it much? I've been skeptical about such systems, but I recently enabled Google Now on my phone and it's been quite helpful.

    XenForo 2.0 Discussion

Had XF2.0 not been announced in advance, I'm sure dozens of people would be posting asking where the new HYS threads are, when the next version is coming, etc. It makes complete sense to announce the project well before its release, even well before you're prepared to share any details on it.

    Windows 10

I'd love to see some screens. :) I'm not on the W8 hate train like a lot of other people, I think it's a great OS, but it still sounds like Microsoft is correcting a lot of their mistakes with W10. Especially thrilled to hear that we can use Metro apps on the desktop now!

    Responsive Social Sharing Buttons

Just installed this on my test board and so far, really loving it -- AddThis is a neat idea but the lag it adds to every page just doesn't make up for analytics that I don't particularly care about checking. Google Analytics is plenty for checking social media performance. :) The only thing I'm...

XF 1.4 Replacing AjaxProgressIndicator gif with FontAwesome

Update! I've figured it out. Apparently CSS animations don't like to work when the display property is set to inline. I've changed it to inline-block and I now have a spinning cog.
