There is NO legal issue stopping the devs to write code, they simply chosen not to for various personal reasons we don't know.
Again you could be wrong, this is a case in the UK which I believe we don't know anything about...There is NO legal issue stopping the devs to write code, they simply chosen not to for various personal reasons we don't know.
I was thinking about all this the other day - and my personal conclusion was "give it a year". I think that is a reasonable amount of time to wait in my case. As to "waiting for what?", it's not much, just that I tend to plan out very long term. If XF, for some reason, does not continue on as a valid project.....at that one year point from now, I will probably make a decision to move to another system within 1-3 years after that.
That may seem slow to many, but I only recently moved from my 2003-vintage forum software, even though it was promised to be updated from 2009-2012 and was not! Many of us tend to focus more on our communities and the glass being 1/2 full as opposed to the other way around.
Sure, this whole thing is drama that most of us would rather not have. But that's life. There are more than 2 options (go or no-go) which could end up being the way forward for XF. In fact, in terms of percentage I would give "no go" a smaller chance. Even if XF didn't prevail in all the court stuff, that would be like saying Android was not going on because Samsung lost a round.
On the biz end, I really am surprised that no decent-sized investor group has come forward to partner with XF and provide the capital and other needs to easily make it through. It would seem a given that alliances would be formed - the product has a LOT of potential and is already proven. Heck, I'd invest!

Who's to say they are worried about vbulletin slating more code of theirs or ideas? That refers to the already existing code. Your point?
oh my days, where have you been? Xenforo has another case in (15th) January 2013.What new case? Perhaps you know of a case I haven't heard of yet.
have a look at http://shamil.co.uk/vbulletin-solutions-vs-xenforo-limited-etc/us-docket-files.html if you can stop being cocky. Not of your business where I have been. I don't see another case.

I still don't see another case.
Just a minor thing , it is not only Kier , Mike and Ashley who are in the law case. I can only speak for myself but law case doesn't stop me doing my regular jobs. I have responsibility to the company i work for and i have to follow that. That's why don't put every blame on the law suite. I think there are other issues which i hope will be resolved.
UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURTI still don't see another case.

Not to discount the lawsuit you're facing in anyway Mert, I think one factor that differs is who Kier, Mike, Ashley and yourself is time. It is my understanding they have not only faced one civil suit against them, but two civil suits from two different parts of the world for close to two years (October 4 will be the second anniversary of this wonderful announcement).
Two years of civil litigation from two different lawsuits takes its toll.
Mert,
Have you been properly served and does the court have personal jurisdiction over you?
I give up, you might not be deaf but you cant read.I am not deaf. You're still failing to show a new case.
According to my lawyers advise , i am not going to disclose any information regarding that around.
