@Chris Deeming - A few questions:

1. I have xengallery installed, I chose this add on over yours because he had the importer for my albums from VB 3.8.

Now I have my members albums on my forum, will this work with your add on with the existing member albums? If so how will this transpire?

2. Does your add on automatically resize images when uploaded to specific admin setting size?

3. Is it just youtube videos?

4. Is there an option in the editor to add an image/s from a gallery to posts or threads?

5. Have random or recent images from members on forum home page?



6. Have a tab on the members page linking to the members gallery.



Currently my gallery add on does not have any of the (bold) the above and I really would like to have these options.

1. There will be a Xen Gallery importer in the near future, but not in the next release.
2. Yes. Based on max width and height.
3. No, any service you can create a BB Code Media site for.
4. Not in the current version, but it has been suggested for a future version.
5. Yes. Both. Either. Sidebar. Forum home etc. (these more flexible options are in the next version).
6. Yes. A tab for both media items and albums.

I just wanted to disperse some myths regarding importers.

There are currently 3 importers planned. Xen Medio, XFR User Albums and sonnb XenGallery. None of these importers are going to cost any additional money.

Nope. In fact, no importers have been finished yet. They will be developed while the next version of XMG is in beta testing.

The current version is integrated with the XenForo search where you can search on terms found in the title and description of the media.

But don't get too used to how it currently works. The core of it works in the same way but there's lots of changes and lots of new stuff in the upcoming version

So this one seems to bring search and font awesome for the rating stars. I believe there was another new option to post photo and video at the same time. I did not see any other changes
