You can always use a demo for testing things.

I see, but I didn't understand the term status in using custom fields. I'm going to translate it maybe more explicitly, the header indicates a location but under it is a list of custom fields, that's what disturbs me a bit in the translation, it seems a bit confusing but maybe it's just me.

The thread status block is a location on the message display area above the actual message itself. It is where you see the Star Party location and such.
