XF 2.2 Is there anyway to hover over a thread and preview first image or custom image

Hi All,

Is there anyway to preview a thread by hovering over it.
I have so many brochures I wish to upload, but to know which brochure is which, I have to open each thread and download every single one to navigate through them.

What I want to do is upload the image of the product of each brochure, so when I hover over it I know that's the one I want to view.

It does make absolute sense. Is there a reason to not use article type forum with previews?

Yes, in the node settings change it to article type via the button at the top, then lower down the settings page you can change it to preview.

right sorry, if that's a photo then yes that's exactly what I was after. How could I achieve that.

That is default, but will depend on the position of the image in the thread. I thought you meant you wanted the image to always show at the top.

It doesn't show up for me by default?

That's odd, it shows for me in forum view thread list and New posts

But it will only show the image if it is near enough to the top of the post. Article threads show the image of the post no matter where it is.
