XF 2.1 How do I get it to send a conformation email?

I seems like it is set up correctly and the user screen says that the registration is waiting on the email to be confirmed. But the email is not being received.

Have the user check their spam box. A lot of forum email addresses will go to the spam folder.

They did that.

I also had it send another conformation email that never showed up.

eta: I have personally checked their spam folder. Neither one is there.

1. Is this just one member that's having the problem? What email client is s/he using?

2. What method are you using to send emails?

1) This is the first person to register as a user. I am trying to figure out how I set it up wrong.

Yes. There is a default method which is what you're using if you didn't change anything.

This is Outlook.com? Not the Office Outlook program?

I don't know. I am new to all of this.

I was like, "I think I set it up correctly, try and log on." And it does not work.

I also tried to sign up for a new account with my work email (through outlook) and with my gmail account. It came into the gmail "spam" folder.

That's very common for Gmail, but the email did arrive - just flagged as spam.

What happened with your work email?

It is not there. No record of it ever existing.

And no, I did not type it in wrong. Kind of hard when the computer auto-fills

Submit a ticket to your host and ask them to check that the following server records are properly set for your forum domain:

• DKIM
• SPF
• Reverse DNS (PTR)
