I didn't find it - but I had to ADD a new "reply" phrase... So somehow the phrase was missing... After I added it back, the reply button/link is now capitalized...

That's the thing - I can't find it in phrases...

I run a bunch of XF forums but on ONE of them, the "Reply" button/link next to LIKE and +QUOTE has a lower case "R" in REPLY... Not sure when or how this happened, but it's here in the code: <div data-template-name="public:post_macros::post_action_bar" class="actionBar-set...

Looks good. Are you able to see threads and replies? That's how I have mine setup here: https://kiasportageforums.com/social-feed/ If you click the link to see replies, you can view and interact with replies in the social feed. It's setup similarly to how Twitter/X works. You do need to be...

To note, multi-quoting was introduced as a core feature in vBulletin version 3.6, which was first released as a beta in mid-2006. The option to switch between linear (traditional forum layout) and threaded/hybrid views was a standard feature in the admin control panel for versions 3.x and 4.x...

It would make the most sense to have something that can be switched back and forth like vB setup - but I'm not sure if that's possible with multi quoting. It's been so long since I've used vB that I don't remember if they even HAD multi quoting as a feature.

I wouldn't mind helping to fund something that worked similarly to how VS has things... I wonder how vBulletin managed this years ago. You could have either layout - whichever you preferred. Perhaps multi quoting makes this more difficult.

It appears to be a love it or hate it idea. I'm always for whatever makes the viewer more comfortable to read and engage. If having the option to view and participate with whichever method the viewer prefers, that's a win to me.

it looks good... But I imagine not enough people want it... I have a feeling it might work out better than QUOTING - just having the reply beneath the post being replied to... It seems like that's where the internet went, and only traditional forums still do things differently...

Curious myself... I guess still "not yet". But I may experiment on a test forum soon...

Yes, I'm going to post in the thread, assuming he will see it. If not, I'll send a direct message. I'd like to test it out...

Thank you. I'll give that a shot to see how it works. :)

    XF 2.3 Threaded Discussions (non-linear)

I was never a fan of the old message board style where discussions where threaded (like Reddit) as opposed to what we have here (linear) - but I'm kinda wanting to experiment to see what my viewers prefer. Is there anything out there, add-on or otherwise, that can accomplish this?

I'm creating a list of people who are interested in the add-on. If there's enough interest (would 10 or 20 people be too optimistic?) I don't see why it can't be brought back online right away.

Yes, this was on our to do list... It was something I'd wanted to see early on... I was away from my office for about a week, so we're just getting back on track today. I will let you know when we get working on this add-on again.
