Fastest XenForo site I've seen, how are they so fast?

I'm on XF Cloud and it's actually faster. I've got many add-ons installed, too. https://nerdzone.uk

    Backup

    It is expensive, alas.

    XF 2.4 Featured content improvements

Yeah, shouldn't be too hard to do, but that stability explanation is what I've heard on here. I'm not disagreeing with you either, I think having the choice would be great and shouldn't break the bank to implement it.

That would be nice, but I think it's fixed for maximum stability.

Snogs Site was down, it is now back up ... move along, nothing to see here

I get your frustration and I'm glad to say it's just the opposite for me with AndyB's add-ons. The subscription is great value, they all work well and the customer support is superb. If I have a query, Andy may even reply within minutes. Heck, he even created an add-on just for me the other day...

    Backup

If you're willing to go XF Cloud, that has a great backup system.

Nice find. I sub AndyB's excellent add-ons so will install this.

    Year in Review - statistics and/or add-on?

@Mouth That sounds like something that I'd be interested in, too. @AndyB do you have anything like this?

XF 2.3 Finding new registrations awaiting enablement

That's how XF is designed and I can see why as it's a mod function rather than admin.

    If XenForo's finished, what's next?

Shame there's so much negativity around nowadays, mostly fueled by the lack of updates, which Chris D addressed the other day, as XF remains an excellent product. I've subscribed to @AndyB's add-ons for several years now and continue to be very happy with their performance and function. The...

    Indeed, quite.

XF 2.3 Password reset required, but email is not valid. How to deal with this?

The merge option sounds like a good middle ground, yes.

XF 2.3 Password reset required, but email is not valid. How to deal with this?

Oh, that's a good point. There's no secret embedded in their profile to verify themselves. I guess they've lost the account then. Without fallbacks providing proof of identity like secret words there's no way to know. In the case of your forum, since it's not a security issue like it would be...

XF 2.3 Password reset required, but email is not valid. How to deal with this?

Oh yes that can happen and I've done sillies like that too. It's called the human condition. :p I was giving just one example as I've seen this done on my forum and it wasn't a mistake with less savoury users. Other than this, would you consider my suggestion?

XF 2.3 Password reset required, but email is not valid. How to deal with this?

Interesting. Since a user needs a valid email address to register on the forum and activate the account, then they must have changed it later and either made a typo, or did it intentionally to prevent all alerts. This is pretty stupid and has now locked them out of their account. Presumably you...
