What is your self-hosted SMTP solution? We are testing Postal at the moment, with speed issues

And now I see a post from @eva2000 suggesting he does it somewhat manually. https://xenforo.com/community/threads/email-newsletter-list-bounce-cleanup-scrubber-services.129553/ edit: But it looks like @DragonByte Tech has an addon that will do it for you.

Hey this leads me to a question. Is there an easy way to using a list cleaning service, then import the flagged accounts back into XF? TBH, I haven't looked into this at all.

Agreed. A 10-15% bounce rate isn't even polite. Get the list cleaned and then you can use a normal mail service like AWS SES.

Baffling speed issues Xenforo 2.1.1 on a shared Godaddy server Max_User_Connections errors

There's nothing baffling about speed issues on GoDaddy.

While I know English isn't your first language, I personally can't understand what you're trying to ask.

Yes, this would be a great time to get away from GoDaddy. They are the worst.

Should I change my current Hosting requirements or even a change of host?

It may be fine, but they're basically about as bad as GoDaddy. I'd personally prefer to not give those types of webhosts money.

If the site is low volume, just save yourself the headache and switch to shared hosting. I'd stay far away from GoDaddy and Namecheap though.

Who do you use for hosting?

IMHO, Namecheap is almost as bad as GoDaddy. I'd suggest getting hosting from some of the folks here. @MattW maybe? I forget.

    DigitalOcean, Cloudflare and SES.

Just verify the domain on AWS with DNS records. That way you can send from any email address @yourdomain.com. And if you need to receive email, try using something like Zoho - which is free for up to five accounts. And finally, use Cloudflare for DNS, and specifically DMARC.

Xenforo moving from namecheap shared to digital ocean, aws or?

nginx doesn't support .htaccess. Instead it has its own system. And of course the vhost setup is different.

There's a reason that NGINX is now the most used webserver. ;)
