I wanted to build an integration for xenForo - as I did with vBulletin - but I don't have a license for xenForo nor can I afford one. I may be able to some day if no one else beats me to it :)

I'll consider entering, although I'm not that good at writing essays, but then again... I don't have the funds to purchase xenForo at the moment (I hoped I would have it by now, but eh). It's worth a try I suppose :)

I would recommend NameCheap or Fabulous.

Which is what I mentioned previously as one of the things I didn't like about vB, even before the vB4 mess.

I appreciate the work Kier, Mike, and Ashley are putting into XenForo. I just don't think having some kind of reactivation fee is necessary.

The one thing I didn't like about vB (aside from what eventually happened w/IB & vB4), was the extra charge if you went x months after expiry before renewing. IMHO, it should be $140 for the license then $40 per year, and nothing more. Everyone seems to forget a lot of communities are for...

It seems a lot of folks don't like upgrading beyond what their current OS supports. As far as Debian for DSF, if it's Lenny, the highest version they support w/the package manager is 5.2.6 (5.2.6.dfsg.1-1+lenny9).
