Hi all, I'm looking to set my background image. I thought it would be there under Style Properties. The Ai chatbot says what I posted below. But to me, that looks like the image will have to be hosted somewhere like on ImageShack. I would rather it be installed on the same server I have Xenforo...
As a newbie that may be a little outside my expertise. Perplexity says "To find the src/config.php file, navigate to the root directory where you installed XenForo on your web server. Inside this directory, you should see a folder named src. The config.php file is located within this src...
Please see the image below. As you can see, it's going to do this every 30 days. I believe this will annoy my members, and I'd like to turn it off. The Ai chatbot wasn't much help this time. That account is the admin account. Thank you
Thanks! Any thoughts on question #1? Looking at the link you gave me, it looks like most themes are pretty basic. Compared to the link I shared for what I want to mimic, seems like it's gonna take some work.
Does that sound accurate to you? Just trying to get a feel for what I'm attempting.
I have several questions so it's probably best if I number them. They are -
1. I am not a programmer and I'm likely not even a good script kiddie. I know almost nothing about coding, so theming out my forum is proving somewhat difficult for me. Would I be better off just hiring someone to make...
I am on version 2.2.15
Thanks for the code! It appears to have given me a space themed image, along with the "floating" effect I wanted. However, it does look like The garage journal still managed to group the sub forums together. Like they're all one mass. Here's my forum...
How difficult would it be to mimic this look? I like the floating "body" of forums over the vintage looking image. As well as each sub forum having a little logo in front of it. Would this be difficult to replicate? Something tells me it's not just a theme I can get from somewhere and install...
Not yet, I'm trying to come up with some kind of toggle switch for users. Some people like the lighter themes, and I don't want to force a dark theme on those people. I'd like to start with a light theme, then when the people who like dark mode go hunting for it, they can easily find it.
Instead of creating a new thread I'll just ask here. This video was 6 months ago, where dark mode was talked about:
Until 2.3 is released, can we just use an addon so that users can see a dark mode button somewhere? Or perhaps it's included in some themes? I'm something of a newb. Thank you
I've been using Xenforo for a very long time (as a standard board member) and I don't find this to be the case. I've always had an easy time finding anything I've searched for, usually in the first few threads listed. It's also easy to see images in threads, unless you're referring to the site...
A manual as good as the Arch Linux manual would be really helpful, even to me. I say that cause I'm one of those people who learns better by seeing it done. A visual learner I think it's called. That's why I was hoping there would be more videos one day. But if the Ai's are actually pretty good...
Finally got some time to work on my forum and I'm making my way through these videos made by the Xenforo people:
However they are somewhat limited in scope. So I wanted to stop by and ask if there are more videos somewhere, that teach you how to operate the Xenforo admin control panel. The...
