I intend to install the forum on the root. And I want to decide on the formation of forum urls. Is it possible to change the current urls from:

2.

I also noticed on xenforo.com, the urls show up like this on homepage:

http://xenforo.com/community/forums/announcements/ -- > with missing .4, How do I achieve this?

http://xenforo.com/community/threads/xenforo-resource-manager-1-0-0-released.47042/

3.

Is it possible to remove/rename (How?) the words "forum" and "threads" from the urls? How?

Thanks

I'm not sure about questions 1 and 3, but I know for a fact that custom URL portions are part of XenForo's default functionality. ;)

Try going to the Admin CP and creating (or editing) a node. When you reach the node settings page, add text to the URL Portion text box:

For example, if I wanted my forum to be located at http://example.com/forum/news/, I'd put "news" as the URL portion.

Also, as I said, I'm not entirely sure about how you'd go about removing forum/ (and others) from your links, but you could try Jake Bunce's URL changer: http://xenforo.com/community/resources/route-changer.447/

EDIT: Ninja'd!
