Writing an Importer... Disable Rebuilding of Cache?

I'm writing an importer for XenPorta to XenPorta 2. Everything works great; except for when you finish and click the finalize button. Then XenForo goes into the long and arduous task of rebuilding all the forum caches.

My importer has no need for this. Is there a way to disable it?

This actually came up today, but the code is triggered via the controller so it can't be disabled as things stand.

IIRC @Jon W has an add-on that will allow the person running the import to disable the rebuild cache (I may be wrong though) You can probably look at what he has and extend the controller to disable it just for your importer.
