I am thinking about buying a few branding-free licences.

What can be removed on "branding free" ? Just being allowed to removed the XenForo from the footer ?

Is it possible to remove the references to XenForo also from the source-code ?

    Many thanks,

I believe I read something about this before and the answer was something like just the footer / what's visible on pages. So in the source code there will still be some references to either "xen" or"xenforo".

Maybe it's possible to customize the code a bit yourself to remove those too?

yeah, I remember reading this somewhere as well.......not sure about USD 250 for removing a line of text.......when it is still visible in the source ?

As has been said before, the purpose of branding free is to remove visual branding, not to pretend that the software is not XenForo.

That is exactly what it is I do believe. Same with vB and many other internet software companies.
