vBSEO to xenSEO

You will have people who want a onestop mod that cuts whitespace, automatically converts posted links to use thread titles, incorporates analytics, tweetboard, etc etc... one is better than multiple.

I personally don't think that Xen is the most appropriate in the situation. When somone says Xen, I immediately think of the hypervisor.

Is there a niche for vBSEO to fit in?
i'm wondering about this, right now i'm owning a seo board, so when i wanna 'pass the river' to the xF the risk is loosing my ranks ... or maybe the importer brings the vbseo settings?

We can't currently comment anything about it. We are interested with XenForo and we will evaluate everything once we get our hands on the code source. But one thing i can clearly say is we are highly interested in XenForo as Crawlability Inc.

good news for us Mert, really good news ... :)

Hopefully if an SEO plugin comes out it won't be nearly as resource intensive as the old vBSEO.

That plugin made every forum I visit noticeably slower. Unless its gotten better in the past year or so.

I visited thousands of forums that use vBSEO and never faced the issue you mention. Of course some sites face that issue but it is actually not vBSEO's fault. People always want to keep their sites on cheap hosting and they deny to move better servers when their site grows. This surely causes an issue as the server can't handle mod_rewrite .

But looking at some of the code that they have now, they're already doing SEO stuff out of the box like IPB 3.1 has been doing, so what's the need for an SEO plugin for XenForo?

IPB SEO plugins have been shutting down, I doubt there is a market for an SEO product for xF
