Lack of interest User online markup?

Hi,

I couldn't find anything about this. If it has been done before, please direct me.

Would it be possible to change the color of the name when the user is online? So for example, if a user is offline the name would be black; would he/she be online the name would be green. And it should be displayed this way in all places where the name is shown. So both in the message list AND on the profile page.

If this won't be implemented in the near future, perhaps someone could create it as an add-on?

Changing the user name colour might be problematical as user name markup can be applied to user groups.

There is already an online status indicator add-on which can be used to add a small pip, icon, ribbon, etc.
It only works in threads though as far as I am aware.

there is an online addon and an associated template edit that you could tweak to do this.

Thanks for your answers. I currently use this addon (which rocks btw ), but it would be great to have a similar feature on the profile pages. Username markup would be great, if possible that is.
