XF 1.2 Upgrading

Hello.
I am currently running Xenforo 4.2, and I wanted to know if there is anyway of upgrading my current Xenforo software to the new one without any major steps, like needing to backup my existing SQL data, and reinstalling my addons?

I presume you mean 1.2?

If so, 1.2 to 1.4 is a reasonable upgrade.
At the very least you should consider backing up the database and server files.

It is likely that add-ons and styles will also need upgrading.

Sorry, i ment Xenforo 1.4.2.

Oh, in that case, 1.4.2 to 1.4.4 is a relatively minor upgrade.

You should still take backups, in case of any issues and you need to roll back, but your add-ons should be OK.
Any custom styles may require minor updates.
