Is this still for the iPhone / Android app with push support or is this only for the Push Alerts (Non-app) add-on you offer? Very competitive price for the App which I'd absolutely sign up for!
This is for the app, Mobile/Web Push is listed separately, but remember what I said about trademarks and the app stores' rules :(

FYI for anyone considering this product, best to move along. Just got notice our app is being terminated in a few days.

"we are shutting down the service part of our Mobile Apps and only providing the source code starting this week, and will apply this to our push and legacy servers shortly after, which will make the apps non-operational."

Now what to do...

Did you purchase the yearly license for the app?

We disabled the ability to buy the app service before we sent out the private notice to clients (screenshot below):

The limited-time reduced prices for existing clients (that countdown) do not allow us to post the announcement yet; we will do so in 24h.

In the same boat as you - our users finally had an app that they continually asked for (well, for about 6 months). We had to upgrade to enterprise yearly plan because of apple's policy change, which was no small feat for our community given the cost, and now to see that in order to continue support, we'll need to come up with even more funds and manage this ourselves...

Ugh

Yep, this whole app ecosystem being so split among multiple products has been so detrimental to mobile forum growth the last few years.

Between Slaviks App, this App, Aayush’s app, Tapatalk and some sites with the money and expertise simply building their own.

Tapatalk has it right for the most part, and they’re now growing into their own standalone forum software solution that includes a desktop interface.

They nailed the mobile first approach, and are expanding rapidly to provide desktop access to communities created within their ecosystem.

Traditional forum software companies are now letting their customers down by not providing a great cross platform solution to compete with the other options available.

What people want isn't easy to do. IPBoard tried doing it, didn't work out any good for them. What customization people want is pretty hard to achieve, we are focused on getting there but it's going to be a long and treacherous journey. BTW Slavik's app and ForumApps had/have the same goal.

I agree that Tapatalk has the right approach but they do so many things wrong that I don't know if they will do this right. Something time will tell. But as far as we are concerned, we have a vision for the future of mobile growth of online communities and we will strive until we achieve it.

With the changes Apple made that's quite a challenge (and it already was hard), and to replicate something reaching near the complexity of TT is impossible without VC funding and a lot of time. vBulletin never dared enter into servicing with their mobile suite, it's always been BYO IIRC.

TT had raised $4M in capital as well.
