Good move on this. Doesn't seem to be pulling accurate stats on usergroup memberships when I select recipients or does it remove inactive users automatically from that total?
The recipients page is an estimate, which can be lower particularly after some users are snoozed and inactive from the Newsletter.

Schedule does not seem to retain correct settings. I set scoring to start in an hour, it saved and noticed now it moved it to tomorrow on its own.

With that in mind it's showing some weird multiple issues on the view all issues page, it has duplicated issue 1 and set it to next week.

I'm about to reply to your ticket - however the Newsletter can not be set to run an hour after setup. Usually it takes 24 hours for the Newsletter pipeline to trigger and start running. We do have multiple issues based on the schedules as placeholders. I will look into this a bit further. Your current schedule looks correct, and ready to go.

Thanks a lot. For some reason my schedule is showing Apr 4, I wanted to do a test run this week or asap if that's at all possible. I only have a limited target audience for it.

It sort of started working now. There's still issues though. Clicking View Next Issue skips this week and goes to next week's issue which is obviously empty whereas view All issues lists it.

Also would be good to get finer control over newsletter layouts (not just colours) so for example optionally attach images from posts, change excerpt lengths, use different icons etc etc.

Thanks though, I will try it out and see what's what.

You can edit the posts directly and include an <img> tag with images. We are also looking into bringing images into the newsletters automatically via attachments - it poses a number of issues particularly if threads tend to get off subject. Would be happy to help with that if you have more questions in the mean time.

I see that now thanks. As to issues that's what scoring is for, if you can pull post images automatically that'll be a huge time saving then curators can click them off if inappropriate.

This would be a fantastic option. Maybe, if its possible, make it so only the first picture is taken.

We are still working towards this, as it's a common feature request. Stay tuned here and our blog for all exciting updates.

Please also work on deliverability. I realize you're reliant on a third party email relay but without visibility or recourse over what was delivered and what was simply omitted it's a bit scary. I think you guys are using send grid so you should be able to expose individual send stats to the users via their api.

Thank you for the suggestion - deliverability is an area we continue to strive for excellence. During your test of our service, we were improving our reliability with kickbox scoring. That said, we will continue to improve our dashboards and our plugins to offer additional clarity for reliability. If you are up for the challenge, I'd love the opportunity to work with you to perfect your community Newsletter by leveraging the best practices we have learned from sending quite a few newsletters.

We are currently working on the next update, but images are not scheduled for this next release. You can currently edit an entry to include images in order to ramp up and warm up your audience for sending newsletters.

Question - your guide shows that you should check for a connection;

This is what I get?

Also, I havent been able to configure anything for newsletters yet - will this be after indexing is complete?

Hi @Dubbed Navigator - Once your site is synced, you can edit the nodes/users. In the meantime, you can fill out the required sender information for sending newsletters as well as any appearance settings you'd like to customize. I'll keep an eye out on your sync, based on your current stats should take ~2 hours depending on the kickoff sync, and I look forward to your first newsletter going out.

Where do I do all that?

Not seeing any options for it.
