Have you tried creating a conversation with a really obscure word in and searching for that word? Would be helpful to know if it is completely not working or if it is only not working for common words.

Yes. But I think I might have found the problem, a conflict with another search plugin. I'm still investigating and will post my results here.

Installed and rebuilt the caches. The search is working properly if I load up the advanced search page, but if I perform that same search using the quick dropdown, it returns no results.
