When you put symbols in a thread title, and then you try to veiw the thread it will not work when you have friendly urls on (Only When Friendly URLs enabled) I fixed it by turning it of..

    But here are the screenshots:
Look at the stars in the thread title

    Then when I click it

Notice how the stars are in the address bar also...

Hope I helped by posting this... I was able to view the thread by turning friendly urls of.

Can you enable friendly URLs again so I can check from here?

I just tested it on my install and it worked fine with friendly URLs enabled.

Can you check your Apache error log for more detail on the error?

Sorry I use fatcow, and in the CP there is no place to check error logs.

Can you ask your host to provide an error log?

Shouldn't symbols like that be removed from the URL?

That's because friendly URLs are disabled.

This can only be a server configuration as it works here and also on my installation.
What are your server spec's, etc?
Can you contact your host and see if they have any insight?

I'll move the thread to general troubleshooting.
If it does turn out to be a XenForo bug then I can always move it back.
