Specialist Services - vBulletin, Big Boards, Custom Imports, Community +Server Management

Hey John...You think you will have the above that for IP.Board? I ask for that is the next one we need to do. ;) Thanks

Nope, the system is pretty complex and IP.Board is simply not a huge revenue stream to warrant the investment.

For a long time I have been afraid of moving my 8 millions post forum from vb to xf. Slavik provided a test import first, that allowed us to set up all our custom modules, logins and layouts, and then when we went for it in less than 8 hours of downtime the forum was back live and perfectly imported to XF!
Great work, great support, thank you Slavik.

We had a LARGE board and were having all sorts of problems importing from vB4 to Xenforo. We wound up hiring Slavik to perform our database conversion for import - Slavik worked with us from start to finish, and even spun up a virtual machine to handle the import & fix the myriad of database issues our site had. The import went very smoothly!

If you have a large site, remember that time is money and it's easier to have a pro with tons of experience handle things than spend days / weeks / months trying to trouble shoot issues. It's worth the investment.

Slavik has imported 6 forums with up to 8mm posts for me. Just did one this weekend. Slavik is the best. Have been working with him two years now. If you are not a very technical person when it comes to your server specs, I do suggest having a server side webmaster on your end that knows your server specs and has all access to help slavik make any changes he needs to the server quickly.

@Slavik is indeed a god among men. This is the third forum he's managed a migration with me, and it was by far the complex and involved. I'm honestly not sure how much sleep the man gets, as we were managing the scripts together 24 hours a day for almost a week, and he hardly took a break. I'm talking going far out of his way to ensure that we got the work done. Way beyond what's generally expected from developers. He's a true migration specialist.

When the going gets tough, Slavik finds creative ways to solve issues that ensure a smooth transfer between forums. We've seen very little drop in our overall traffic thanks to his expert handling of redirects and metadata for things such as galleries.

Finally, we threw a TON of custom requests his way, and he handled them all with aplomb. We were importing off of a custom forum software that was extremely unusual in many ways, and he managed to get core functionalities brought over into XF in a way that may not have ever been done before.

If you have a large board, small board, medium board-- it doesn't matter. You'd be a fool not to hire the guy.

Slavik just converted our forum from Vbulletin 4.x to XenForo 1.5. He did an excellent job of converting 10 years of forum history/posts. There have not been any issues since the conversion. He provides high quality work and has great customer service skills. I highly recommend him.

Thanks again Slavik!

Great to see you up and running!

Hi Guys!

With XF2 now officially out the door, I am now officially offering XF2 Imports. The first post has been updated to reflect this, including some new services, such as the ability to import and maintain existing recurring subscriptions (So your users don't need to re subscribe in XenForo!) as well as various other bits and pieces.

Been waiting for XenForo 2 to finally make the move? Well nows the time!

Start a private conversation with your requirements and lets get the ball rolling.

Many Thanks

Hi @Slavik,

Do you offer XF1->XF2 upgrades? I would be interested in something like a turnkey upgrade to XF2, replacing the old add-ons with the relevant 2.0 add-ons, removing deprecated add-ons that are now part of the core features, preparing a list of add-ons that should be re-coded for 2.0, and making necessary style upgrades.

I would be interested in such a service if you offer it.

Hi,

Certainly, theres a couple of caveats, you would still need to buy the upgrade service from XenForo directly as to avoid a conflict of interest, obviously I can only upgrade addons which have a XenForo 2 equivalent, and styling would be subjective to how custom your existing site is.

Slavik just upgraded my 10 year old vBulletin 3.8 forum to XenForo 1.5. Initially a test migration was done (this gave us some time to check out the functionality) and after a few weeks the final move took place. The entire process went through without any hitches. Slavik's services are definately recommended for anyone planning to make a move to XenForo.

Hi Slavik,

I sent you PM, please let me know if you are available. I am looking to move 13 year old vb 3.8 forum which uses vbSEO for links and photopost gallery over to XF and XMG.

Hi guys!

Happy new year to all.

Glad to say the XenForo Big Board Importer service offered here is now updated for XenForo 2.

In a recent test on a forum with over 150 Million posts, it took the import from over 5 days with the XenForo 2 CLI importer, down to less than 6 hours.

If youre looking to import from XenForo 2, drop me a conversation!

I had grown weary of dealing with a vBulletin 5 forum and decided to migrate it to Xenforo 2. However, once I got started, I discovered that the process was more difficult than my research had revealed. After failing at a few attempts of my own, I found and hired Slavik to perform the migration. He had it done within a few hours and at a fair price. He also answered a few follow-up questions until I was fully in control of the new migrated site. The forum has been running well on XF2 and I am very happy with the service I received. Thanks.

@Slavik moved our ~100k post vBulletin 5 database over to Wordpress + Xenforo 2. The transition was seamless, scripts were clean. Price was right.

@Slavik is the way too go for any migration. I'll probably be reaching out at some point again for custom Xenforo widgets.

I reached out to @Slavik after reading the reviews here to migrate my 10 year old vB 3.7 forum with a lot of customisations over the years and I got exactly the assistance I was looking for as I didn't know anyone who could inspire me any confidence before I came across this thread. Tricky text encoding conversion issues, a DB that would not restore previously on the web host, hundreds of gigabytes of attachments and many questions and answers later I've got a brand new forum running on XenForo thanks to @Slavik's help. I would recommend @Slavik to anyone looking to migrate a legacy forum. Me and my forum community are and will always be grateful. Thanks mate.
