Specialist Services - vBulletin, Big Boards, Custom Imports, Community +Server Management

Just curious, any reason why you migrated to 1.4.11 instead of 1.5.x?

The Xenforo importer for vb3.8 does not retain tags.
The new version of XenTag compatible with XF1.5 does not have an importer for vb3.8.
The old version of XenTag compatible with XF1.4 does have the needed importer.

I plan to upgrade to XF1.5 asap.

Oh that makes sense :) Congrats on your successful move!

Slavic did great for me with goldismoney2.com

1M posts, 94K vids, and a whole lot of thanks from the old vb system.

Up and running and it looks great now. Members are happy with the xen conversion.

Good stuff and cost effective.

Thanks!!

Just wanted to say Slavic did an amazing job with my migration. Couple of hiccups, but he smoothed them right over.

Worth the money and lack of headaches :)

Happy new year guys,

Thank you for the glowing reviews :)

Slavik did a great job on converting my site from VBulletin to Xenforo. I spent a few days trying to figure out how to do everything myself, but then just decided to play it safe and pay someone to do it. I went with Slavik. He messaged me back a few hours after I gave him my info and he had the test version ready to go, and the my new forums up and running the same day. Thanks!

Slavik did an excellent job helping us convert our forum of about 5 mil posts coming from vB 3.8. Highly recommended. Thanks for the help!

moved a board over with slavik's help from vbulletin about 8-9 months ago. it was quick and everything pretty much worked as is again with his help.
since moving from vbulletin to xenforo, i've seen almost a 50% increase in traffic and hopefully will continue to grow.
so if you're looking to switch, i'd recommend it and save yourself the headache and trouble and use slavik's service here.

Slavik did a great job importing a couple of old vB4 forums for me. Top quality, fast service and at a cheaper rate than I was being quoted on Freelancer.com and UpWork etc. Highly Recommended.

Our forum conversion from vBulletin 4.2 is in progress. Slavik made a test migration, which outstanding results. In addition, the forum was transferred to another host.

Now we will make a short beta test and concentrate to the little details. Then it's time for the final move.

I highly recommend Slavik for migrations. There is no doubt that he is a real pro!

EDIT: Now the whole operation is done. Great job! Thanks, Slavik!

Slavik successfully completed a vBulletin to Xenforo migration for me yesterday. My forum (http://forums.civfanatics.com) has 250K members and 14 million posts.

My forum was running on vBulletin 3.8.x with third party addons DownloadsII, vbGallery, vbDrupal, and vbLinks Directory. During the planning stage we decided to exclude vbDrupal and Links from the migration as those need custom development.

We started the migration last Friday, and the migration completed on Saturday for the main forum and the gallery. We re-opened the forum on Saturday night.

The part that took longer to convert was the DownloadsII, due to the importer for that addon was written for the older version of the Resources manager. Slavik had to make some updates to that process. DownloadsII were successfully converted yesterday.

This migration really inject new life to my community as the software was too old. There were also security concerns and compatibility issues with latest version of PHP.

If you are on the same boat I was in, wanting to upgrade to newer forum software but are hesitant due to the installations of third party addons, I highly recommend hiring Slavik to do the work. His experience from doing so many big forum migrations is reassuring and can ensure your migration is successful. The price he charges is very reasonable as well.

Reaching out to Slavik and get his help to do the migration is a great decision. I only wished I had reach out to him earlier.

Many thanks for all your help, Slavik!

New service - Incremental Imports - Reduce your downtime to seconds!
Available nowhere else, I can offer a new incremental import system for vBulletin 3 and 4. While using the Big Board Importer can take an import of days down to hours, there is still an unavoidable downtime created by the actual time of importing the tables and re-applying any custom changes.

By using my custom scripts, we first do a full import, and then can import the changes and new content made to the following import areas:
  • User Groups
  • Users
  • Avatars
  • Private Messages
  • Visitor Messages
  • Forums
  • Moderators
  • Thread Prefixes
  • Threads
  • Posts
  • Polls
  • Attachments
This can be re-run as many times as wanted to ensure your test board is as up-to-date as possible, then switching over is as simple as turning the vBulletin board off, running the script to bring any last minute changes over, and switching on XenForo.

This service is currently considered stable yet experimental, contact me to consider using it.
