Specialist Services - vBulletin, Big Boards, Custom Imports, Community +Server Management

I read everyone of these posts, and now I know who to go to when the time comes to move from VB to Xenforo. My largest forum is still VB unfortunately.

SLAVIK IS THE MAN! (y)

Slavik just complete a migration for us a couple days ago. Our old VB forum contained over 2 million posts and nothing was lost at all in the transition. The work was done in a few hours. He would have been able to complete the project even faster, but technical problems on our end delay the process. Nevertheless, he still maintain a professional demeanor and worked with us to get it everything working.

Make no mistake about it. Slavik will take care of you.

Thank you again Slavik! :)

Highly recommended! Just migrated from vB3.6.8 to Xenforo 1.4x. Thanks for his services, everything went smoothly! The service charge is also very reasonable. He replied my messages very fast, usually in the same day or in just few hours or even few minutes.

Thank you Slavik! Bye bye vB!!!!

Thanks guys, was great working with all of you!

@Slavik just migrated my board from vb4 to xf1.4.4.

The migration went smoothly, no data was lost, migrated a couple of adons also and every question was answered.

If you're looking for a job well done, @Slavik is your man.

We now have the second largest Xenforo board. It was really a long hard road to come to the decision to migrate and there was a lot of concern by the ownership and staff. Our boards have been in existence for over 15 years in various forms and we have been through numerous migrations.
The migration to Xenforo as performed by Slavik was by FAR the easiest, best migration we have ever had. That is not just my opinion, I have heard it from the membership, the owner of the boards and numerous others.
Questions were answered promptly the work was done on time and for the agreed upon price. Special problems (for example we had old posts that still contained regular HTML) were dealt with expeditiously.
Quite simply I wouldn't change a thing about this migration. Fantastic job and great result.

Was great working with you Alex!

Slavik completed our migration from vB this week - it was a seamless transition and completed very quickly and on schedule. We've been worrying about making the change for quite a while, if we'd known how painless it can be we could have jumped much earlier!

We would recommend his services 100%, as you can probably tell. Totally professional and reliable throughout.

Thanks again, Slavik :)

i started a PM with you. this will be interesting, because of the unbeleivable slowness I'm experiencing when trying to import addons or styles. for instance, it took 45 minutes to isntall the reputation addon yesterday. that's INSANE. we monitored the db server and the account would be sleeping up to 1 minute, do one tiny transaction and sleep again, which points to overheard on the front end server. but no, the load never got above 1.5. this is a multiple CPU machine.

We optimized our db server for InnoDB as well, but no improvement

we have full access to both the front end server and the db server (we are networking professionals) but i suspect we're going to have issues on this import.

we're doing the test at 10pm tonight. if all goes well we won't need help, but i'm frankly at witts end trying to find the cause of the slowness. it only occurs on the backend doing imports. front end is lightning fast. our forum is seven years old and is pruned down to 800k posts. I also moved off all attachments and uploads to the filesystem and they've been moved. the db is still 1gb

these are instances at Digital Ocean and Ec2 using backend traffic for DB transactions. but we can give shell access if needed. I just haave a feeling we're going to be needing to seek help. we are not InnoDB pros

Slavik just finished migrating my forum. I would highly recommend him and will be using his services again.

He started the migration early. I had many questions along the way, and he was always quick to respond, and very helpful. The migration went flawlessly from a moderately large vbulletin forum.

A very professional chap. Things couldn't have gone better.

Some additions to the services available at import!

Import VB4 CMS Articles > XenForo Resources Manager
Import iReviews > XenForo Resources Manager
Import vBulletin Blogs > XenForo Threads

@Slavik imported our large vbulletin 3.8 forum with nearly 6 million posts to xenforo in less than a day. The move was straight forward and a lot less complicated than I thought it would be. He even imported all our photo post photos in to xenforo, so we didn't have to lose anything from our old vbulletin forum. I would highly recommend his services to anyone thinking about this.

We used Slavik as a consultant on our big board import, he helped us solve some tricky problems. Particularly, he helped get all of our vbulletin 4.2.x blogs imported into Xenforo as threads, which would have been a big loss of content without his assistance.
