As the title says, RSS feed is buggered, using Chrome.
Webkit browsers can't parse XML/RSS data correctly. It's not a bug.
Remember Firefox back in the day?
I never used firefox as my main browser
Chrome does support RSS, as can be seen from this feed: http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/rss.xml
Mike is aware and will look into it.
That's an Atom/RSS feed.
Indeed it is.
If you push another feed into Chrome, e.g. http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/40747803.rss then it doesn't even attempt to parse it.
google chrome by default does not support parsing XML feeds if there is no stylesheet assigned to it. the bbc link above and feedburner powered feeds have stylesheets assigned to them so they display just fine in chrome.
i remember reading a post from a google employee. they decided that this feature could be better handled by an add on.
and they released an official one i think.
Very useful OperaManiac, thanks for that.
Is this still a bug - in that a stylesheet should be added to it?
As I said above, Mike is aware and will deal with it.
majority of sites do not deliver the rss feed with stylesheets. it is not a bug.
We're just keeping the thread in this forum for now so it stays on the radar.
and to work on the rss feeds for individual posters....
