XF 2.2 Restoring a DB

To make a long story short. I had to restore a DB dating a week old. The recent db backups had some character issues. From the recent DB backups as recent as last night, I can extract the post and private conversation tables and I will just restore those individually.

Do I have to restore all of these tables or which tables should I restore for conversations and posts?

xf_conversation_message
xf_conversation_recipient
xf_conversation_user

xf_post
xf_profile_post
xf_profile_post_comment

That db as a whole is no good. The tables mentioned are fine. Just wanted to know If I can restore xf_post and xf_conversation_message on top of a week old db or do I need all the supporting tables with them?

I would just restore the entire database.

Just restoring those tables is going to result in orphaned data - there are many more tables involved.
