Not planned Quick Reply Editor Opacity

By default, the Quick Reply editor buttons are at 0.5 opacity (http://d.pr/i/StMv). As expected, when I focus on the textarea, the opacity increases. I'm not sure if this is a bug or a suggestion, but I'd like to see the opacity return to 0.5 on unfocus.

I think you mean that the opacity increases on focus (to 1, fully opaque).

But basically this is what we did initially and it had a lot of problems. Browsers actually blur the editor quite a lot when you might not expect it or they may not necessarily fire the events you expect in every situation.
