XF 1.1 Permission problem

I'm pretty sure I'm doing this right but I'm not always right so lets see if it something I'm doing wrong.

I have a user that is in 2 usergroups. Edit post by self is the permission.

Usergroup 1 set to Allow
Usergroup 2 set to Not Set (No)

This should allow the user to edit their post if I'm not mistaken.

That's correct, the Allow overrides the Not Set (No).

What duration do you have the edit time set to?

You may have another permission somewhere set to Never; either user or node.

Or it could be an add-on.

It was the duration but that's weird because nothing should have been changed. Or maybe that group could never edit in the first place. Oh well it's not a problem now. Thanks.
